or by email, sales@proximitycoachtravel.co.uk
We’re also official coach partners for Coach Hire Direct.
How quickly will I get a response?
We aspire to have a response to you within the hour but in busier periods and out of office hours, this may take longer.
How long is my quote valid for?
3-days, subject to availability.
Do vehicles have luggage space?
Yes. Please let us know about any luggage requirements so we can ensure that we have the best transport solution for you. This is best resolved prior to booking.
Does the vehicle come with a driver?
Yes, we only provide a service that comes with a driver.
Do your prices include VAT?
No. Any vehicle that has a capacity of 10-seats or more is VAT exempt, so no tax is applied.
Can I bring my dog along?
Assistance dogs are accepted but only on prior agreement. Pets are generally not allowed to travel but some operators offer pet-friendly vehicles so it’s worth reaching out to our team to discuss.
Can I bring my bicycle?
Yes, subject to prior agreement and the vehicle having suitable storage. We recommend bikes are stored in a ‘bike box’ and we cannot be held responsible for any scratches or damage.
Can we eat and drink on board the vehicle?
Yes, with prior agreement. Some journeys (football for instance) are subject to legal restrictions on alcohol consumption so we will guide you on what you can and can’t do.
Should we agree, it will be subject to a £150 bond which is payable the day before travel and refunded on the next working day, subject to the vehicle being treated with respect.
How do I book?
Before you confirm anything, we will send you an official quotation for your perusal. Once you are happy with everything, you can accept our proposal and terms of business via the link we provide you.
Are there any extra fees to pay?
The only time there will be anything extra to pay is if something outside of our agreement incurs a fee, for example parking. All fees where known are included and highlighted in your booking confirmation and invoice.
When do I pay?
You will be asked to pay a deposit if you are travelling outside of 14-days. This is 25% of the total value with the remaining balance to be settled no later than 14-days prior to travel. If you are travelling inside 14-days, it’s payment in full at the point of booking.
For schools and businesses, we do accept purchase orders and, in some cases, credit accounts but all bookings are subject to our terms of business, including cancellations.
How can I pay?
We will send you an invoice with a link to make either a bank transfer or a card payment. Sadly, we do not accept cash or cheques.
What if I must amend or change my booking?
Yes, if we can facilitate the change. Please note that any changes could be subject to our terms of business and incur administration or additional fees.
How can I cancel my booking?
All bookings are subject to our terms of business which you will be presented with both at the enquiry and booking stage. We strongly advise that if plans change, you call the team or email reservations@proximitycoachtravel.co.uk
When do I get the driver details?
We endeavour to furnish you with the driver information, the day before travel at around 3pm. A member of the team will be in touch with you in the build up to your job but once you have paid your final balance, you can sit back and relax until we provide you the crucial information for the day itself.
Can I get in touch with the driver?
Yes. On the day and within 15-minutes of the scheduled arrival time, yes. However, you can reach us at any time, 365-days-per-year. If you need to discuss anything, our lines are manned 24-hours a day and simply call +44 (0)208 0643060.
What happens if the coach is late?
Your driver wherever possible, will advise of any delay due to traffic or circumstances outside of their control. If you have any concerns, please contact us on +44 (0)208 0643060.
What happens if we break down?
Mechanical issues occur from time to time, and we endeavour to get you on your way as soon as possible.
Do we need a break on longer journeys?
Drivers are governed by tachographs. This means that on some journeys, they will need to take a legal rest period of up to 45 minutes. If you have any concerns regarding travel times, please reach out to the team prior to departure, and we will support you.
Can I leave my personal belongings on the coach?
The coach doesn’t always stay around for your return, so it’s best to check with the team to see if we can accommodate your request. If we can, please note that any items left are at the owner’s risk.
Do I tip the driver?
There is no expectation to tip the driver. However, should you feel that the driver has delivered an outstanding service, you are more than welcome to do so.
